The American Hardwoods "Sustainable Solutions" Sample Kit is a convenient reference tool for selecting American hardwoods. Packaged in a sturdy carton, the kit contains samples of 20 hardwood species, a copy of the "Sustainable Solutions" brochure (see description above), an acetate overlay that allows you to see the effect of four finishes on the wood, and a copy of "The Finishing Touch" interactive CD, that features 'virtual' stains for each species. Each wood sample is 2 3/4" wide x 6" long x 1/4" thick. The species are: Alder, Ash, Aspen, Basswood, Birch, Cherry, Cottonwood, Cypress, Elm, Gum, Hackberry, Hickory/Pecan, Hard Maple, Pacific Coast Maple, Soft Maple, Red Oak, White Oak, Poplar, Sycamore, Walnut.
